We met in the dead of winter during a brutal snow storm in Montreal. It was her first night in town and a mutual friend wanted to introduce us over dinner. Natalia didn't have a cell phone so we shouted "Natalia" in the dark snowy streets until we found her–coat wide open and smiling ear to ear. She was a young Russian woman who had just moved from Mexico City (Via Jamaica) to join the creation of a show I was also part of. Eight years, multiple moves, babies, earthquakes, countries and jobs, we took these photos.
